SUZHOU SCENE SPOTLIGHT
Located on Jinji Lake's famous Ligongdi bar street, Jenny's Bar has been a fixture of Suzhou's nightlife since 2009. One of the city's longest-established international bars, it is best known for its live music, with resident Filipino band OverDrive performing every night of the week. Combined with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, Jenny's has become a popular meeting place for expats, local professionals, students and visitors alike.
Over the years, Jenny's has welcomed generations of regulars looking for everything from a quiet drink after work to a lively night out with friends. Some guests come for one drink and end up staying all evening. Just don't expect it to stay quiet once OverDrive gets into their third set.
The venue features a variety of spaces, including the main bar, outdoor patio, garden terrace, private dining room, VIP booth and KTV room, making it equally suited to casual evenings, birthdays, reunions, corporate events and private parties.

Overdrive
Live music is at the heart of Jenny's Bar. Resident Filipino band OverDrive performs every night of the week, taking to the stage at 8:45pm and keeping the venue buzzing until late.
From Sunday to Thursday, the band performs four sets until around 1:00am. On Fridays and Saturdays, they add a fifth set, with live music continuing until approximately 2:30am.
With a repertoire of more than 500 songs in both English and Chinese, OverDrive covers everything from classic rock and pop to country and party favourites. Requests are usually welcome, but the band also knows how to read the room. When it's party time, they keep the momentum going, so if you're thinking of requesting The Carpenters, you might want to save that one for another night!
Leading the band is vocalist Aubrey, joined by bassist Justin, lead guitarist Ace, drummer Jason and backing vocalist Ana. One of the things that makes Jenny's different is the connection between the band and the customers. Buying the band a drink is a long-standing Jenny's tradition, and between sets you'll often find them chatting with guests, sharing a laugh and getting to know the people in the bar. Aubrey is particularly fond of a good whisky—regulars know there's often a little friendly suspense over whether she'll make it through the fifth set!
As the evening goes on, the atmosphere naturally builds. The dance floor is often packed on Friday and Saturday nights, but don't be surprised if dancing breaks out on a quiet Tuesday too. At Jenny's, you never quite know where the evening is going to end up—and that's exactly why so many people keep coming back.

All spirits are poured in generous 45ml measures
